10 Feet Offset Hanging Umbrella with Base and Infinite Tilt-Navy
Navy fabric that hides pollen and dust better than the pale colours, stretched over eight heavy-duty metal ribs and hung from a curved arm. The 10 foot canopy tilts to any angle and rotates right round on a single locking handle, and a crank opens it. There is 6.5 feet of room under the canopy by the manufacturer's drawing.
A pole where the dishes go
The centre of the table is lost
A market umbrella runs its pole through the table. The middle of the table becomes a place to work around rather than use, and the shade cannot follow the sun.
Hang it from the side
The curved arm brings the canopy over the table from a post standing beside it. The whole top is free, and the lock on the post lets the canopy tilt and turn to follow the light.
Navy is the practical pick in this line: it shows pollen, dust and bird traffic far less than beige, and still looks crisp against white siding.

Over the dinner table
Swung over a patio dining set, the canopy covers the table and chairs with the post standing clear at the side. The tabletop has no hole in it and does not need one.
Sized against a person
The drawing sets the umbrella beside a 6 foot figure. The canopy is 10 feet across, 6.5 feet off the ground underneath and 8 feet to the top of the arm. Closed, it stands about 6 feet tall.

Underneath the navy
Eight heavy metal ribs spread from the hub, and the highlighted triangle is the brace linking the arm to the hub. It is that brace that stops the canopy bobbing on a gusty afternoon.
On the sand
Two loungers covered from the side, base set back behind them. A caption notes the weighted base is not included, which is true wherever you put it.

What you get
Infinite tilt
Loosen the locking mechanism and move the handle up or down. The canopy stops at any angle, not a few set notches.
360 degree rotation
Loosen the lock, turn the canopy to where the sun is, lock it again. The base stays where it is.
Eight metal ribs
Eight heavy-duty ribs with a triangular brace at the hub hold the 10 foot canopy steady.
180 gsm fabric
Polyester the manufacturer rates as sun protective, fade resistant, water repellent and tear resistant.
Crank and loop strap
A crank opens and closes it; a loop strap keeps the folded canopy tidy.
Air vent
A vent at the top lets heat and gusts escape through the canopy.

Who is this perfect for?
Sofa and lounge sets
The curved arm reaches over a sectional from behind, so nothing stands among the cushions and the coffee table stays clear for drinks. Tilt it down as the evening sun drops behind the fence.
Beach and pool loungers
A cross base on its own lets you park the shade beside two loungers where no table exists to hold a market umbrella. Keep the base on level ground, well back from the water.
Owners with weights already
The crossed metal base ships without sandbags, which suits anyone reusing weights from an old umbrella or picking a proper base to match their patio and the wind they get.

Frequently asked questions
What size table does it suit?
A 10 foot canopy covers a round table of about 60 inches, around six seats, with some overhang. The drawing gives 6.5 feet of clearance under the canopy and 8 feet to the top of the arm.
Are the sandbags or weights included?
No. A crossed metal base is included and the listing says it needs sandbags or a weighted base, not included, to hold it down. No weight is published, so fill or load it generously: a side post umbrella carries its canopy off centre.
Does navy fade?
All fabric fades eventually. The manufacturer rates this 180 gsm polyester as fade resistant; no UPF figure is published. Closing it when not in use helps.
What about wind and winter?
The manufacturer asks you to close it in severe weather. Crank it down, fasten the loop strap and, for winter, let it dry fully before storing it somewhere dry.
