How high is the canopy?
The drawing puts the canopy edge at 5.5 feet and the top of the arm at 8.2 feet, with a 10 foot canopy. That low edge is good for blocking late sun over a sofa, but it is below head height for most adults, so keep it away from walkways.
Does it come with a weighted base?
No. The crossed metal base is included, and the photos note the weighted base is not. No weight figure is published, so load it generously; the canopy hangs off to one side.
What does the cover do?
It keeps rain, dust and debris off the closed canopy. It zips shut and has an elastic hem cord.
