10 FT Cantilever Patio Umbrella with 35 Solar LED Lights and 220 LBS Base-Gray

Closing a big umbrella in a hurry is where cheap ones fail. This grey cantilever winds shut on a crank at waist height and a strap holds the folded canopy against the post. The cover spans 10 feet on eight heavy ribs, tilts through six positions, and comes with a four piece base put at 212 lb.

The five minutes before the weather arrives

A big canopy is hard to shut in a hurry

An open cantilever in a squall is the most expensive mistake you can make with one. Plenty of them are awkward to close: reaching overhead, fighting a runner, then leaving the canopy flapping loose against the post.

Crank it down, strap it, walk away

The crank sits at waist height on the post and winds the canopy down without anyone reaching up. A fixing strap then holds the folded fabric tight so it is not beating against the column all night. The manufacturer's own note asks you to close it in severe weather, and this makes that easy to actually do.

Open and shut, side by side

The folded view on the right is the one to study. Wound down, the grey canopy pulls into a tight column against the post rather than hanging loose. That is what the fixing strap holds. To the left, the same umbrella open across its full 10 feet on its four piece base.

A round table, fully covered

Over a round table the canopy reaches past the chairs on every side, which is what a 10 foot cover is for. Size guides match it to a table near 60 inches and about six seats. Underneath, 6.4 feet of clearance at the rim and 8.4 feet at the crown.

Six positions and a full turn

Tilt and rotation are separate controls and this panel shows both. Six tilt steps lean the canopy into a low sun. The pedal at the foot of the post releases the rotation so the whole canopy can swing around while 212 lb of base plates stay put.

The crank, and what it does

On the left is the crank itself, a cast handle bolted to the post at waist height. On the right, three numbered steps take the umbrella from folded, to the arm swung out, to the canopy fully open. Winding it back down is the same handle in reverse, which is what makes closing it before a squall realistic.

What you get

Four piece base included

Four plates of 20 by 20 by 3 inches on a 40 inch cross frame, put at 212 lb on the manufacturer's drawing.

35 LEDs and a central light

Beads run the ribs with a brighter light at the hub, rated at roughly 6 to 8 hours from a full charge.

Six tilt positions

The arm steps through six settings, so the canopy can lean into a low sun and stay where you leave it.

Full circle on the pedal

Step on the pedal, hold the post, turn. Two hundred pounds of base stays planted while the shade moves.

Eight heavy-duty ribs

Eight metal ribs carry the 10 foot canopy from the hub, keeping the fabric taut instead of loose at the rim.

Aluminum column and brace

A stout aluminum column with a triangular brace behind the arm, which is what stops a long overhang nodding.

Vented crown

The vent lets air climb out through the top of the canopy rather than pushing against the whole underside.

Crank and fixing strap

Wind it open or shut from waist height, then strap the folded canopy so it sits tidy against the post.

Who is this perfect for?

Round dining tables

A round canopy over a round table wastes nothing, and with the post outside the group the table top stays clear.

Buyers who want it finished

Base and lighting are both part of the product, so there is no second order and no waiting to use it.

Late summer evenings

Thirty five beads and a bright central light run about 6 to 8 hours off the day's charge, with nothing plugged in.

Frequently asked questions

How easy is it to close?

The crank is set into the post at waist height, so winding the canopy down takes no reaching and no ladder. The fixing strap then holds the folded fabric against the column. The manufacturer's note on the dimension drawing asks you to close the umbrella in severe weather, and this is the part that makes that quick enough to bother with.

What area does it shade, and what is the clearance?

Ten feet across the round canopy, covering a table of roughly 60 inches with about six chairs. The rim sits 6.4 feet off the ground and the crown 8.4 feet, so it clears people sitting comfortably and a standing adult meets the edge at head height.

Does the base come with it?

Yes. The manufacturer's dimension drawing states a four piece base is included for secure anchoring and puts it at 212 lb, with plates measuring 20 by 20 by 3 inches sitting on a 40 inch cross frame. The product title rounds that figure to 220 lb, so the two numbers in the record differ slightly. 212 lb is the figure printed on the drawing and it is the one we publish.

What is the winter routine?

Crank it closed, put the fixing strap round the folded canopy, let the fabric dry right through and store it dry. The manufacturer's own note on the dimension drawing asks you to close the umbrella in severe weather, and Canadian care guides add the rest: snow load bends ribs, and damp fabric folded away grows mildew.
