The four layouts
The strip along the bottom of the maker's panel shows them: facing, L shaped, both chairs opposite, and clustered. Above it are the sizes: a 42 in loveseat, 22 in armchairs and a 35 in table.
The one most people use
Loveseat behind the table, an armchair at each end angled in. Everyone faces the middle and the whole group stays inside a few steps of each other. Everyone sits within the 6 to 8 ft seat to seat that layout guides give for easy talk.
Chairs facing each other
Turn the armchairs to face across the table and the loveseat becomes the end of the group. It suits a narrow deck, where a wide arc would block the walkway.
What the cushions are
Soft, elastic filling in covers that zip off, according to the maker's panel. The loveseat cushion is 3 in thick. Store the cushions indoors over winter.
