4 Piece Solid Acacia Wood Patio Conversation Set with Cushions and Slatted Coffee Table, Turquoise
There is no metal frame hiding under this set. Everything you see, from the slatted arms to the 40 in coffee table, is solid acacia joined with screws, which the maker says will not crack or deform easily. The loveseat is 53 in wide and rated 700 lb; each chair takes 360 lb.
Wood look, metal underneath
Veneer over a steel frame
Many wood look patio sets are a steel frame with wood slats or wood effect plastic on the visible parts. Once the coating chips, the steel rusts and the wood look gives way.
Acacia all the way through
The listing describes the whole frame as premium acacia wood, connected with screws. There is no steel to rust, and the wood can be refinished rather than replaced.
Turquoise cushions on a frame that is solid acacia from top to bottom: a loveseat, two armchairs and a slatted coffee table.
Sizes
Loveseat 53 in wide with a 49 in seat, chairs 24 in, both 27 in deep and 34.5 in tall. Seats sit at 17 in and the arms at 25 in. The slatted table is 40 in by 23.5 in and 18 in tall, about level with the cushioned seat, so plates and cups are within easy reach from every side. Allow roughly 30 in behind each seat for walking.
The wood
Solid acacia on every part of the frame, with the maker's rating of 700 lb for the loveseat and 360 lb for each chair. Acacia is a dense hardwood, and a solid frame can be sanded and re oiled when it greys, which a painted steel frame cannot. No finish or oiling schedule is published, so follow the instructions that come in the box.
Seating four to six
The listing says the set holds four to six people for talking or eating, with the loveseat taking three at a squeeze. Layout guides put facing seats 6 to 8 ft apart for a group that size.
Cushions
Thick, high resilience seat and back cushions that fix to the frame, with hidden zips. The listing says the covers can be washed by hand or machine. Air dry them fully before zipping them back on, and bring the cushions in dry over winter so the foam does not hold damp.
