4 Tier Ladder Bookshelf with Black Metal Frame
Four coffee brown shelves of 30 by 12 inches, carried on a black metal frame just 6.5 inches wide.
The frame is the whole idea here. Two slim black uprights, 6.5 inches across, carry four wide boards and nothing else. No side panels, no back, so the wall colour shows through and the shelf reads as lighter than it is. It stands on the floor and anchors to the wall with the kits supplied.
Thirty inches of shelf, four times over
Each board measures 30 inches long and 12 inches deep. That is wide enough for a row of books and a speaker side by side, and deep enough for a record crate. Four boards give you ten feet of shelf length in a 64 inch tall footprint.
Two of them make a wall unit
Set side by side, the shelves line up and the gap between the frames almost disappears. It is the cheapest way to turn a blank living room wall into shelving without building anything into the plaster.
Open on every side
There is no back panel and no sides, so dust has nowhere to collect and a cable can drop straight through to a socket. The boards have smooth edge banding, which keeps the corners from chipping when something heavy slides across.
