Every room has one of these gaps. Beside a chimney breast, between a door and a corner, at the end of a kitchen run. This bookshelf is 15 inches across and 13 deep, so it goes in that gap and gives back five levels of storage up to 56 inches.
Four cubes and a top shelf
The four open cubes measure about 13 inches across and 12.5 tall, which takes paperbacks, CDs, magazines and albums standing up. The top is flat, so a plant or a lamp finishes it off at eye level.
