Each shelf on this frame is built for a different job. The top one is 6 inches deep and rated for 22 lbs, the bottom is 12.5 inches deep and takes 44. So the plants and the photo frames go high, the books and the watering can go low, and the whole thing stays steady on its own legs.
Fourteen inches between shelves
That clearance takes a hardback standing upright, a tall candle or a small speaker. It is also enough for a plant with some height to it, which is why these frames end up by a window more often than in a study.
A bedside tower on 14 inches of floor
The base measures 24 inches across and 14 deep, which is about the footprint of a nightstand. You get four shelves instead of one surface and a drawer, and bamboo keeps the whole frame light enough to move alone.
