A pre-lit tree is only as good as its string. When a section of bulbs fails, and on a factory-wired tree it eventually does, the whole tree usually goes with it because there is nothing to unplug and replace.

One thousand for this size. The 1346 figure appears in a marketing bullet that is repeated word for word on the other sizes in this range, while the per size specification block for this 6 ft tree says 1000. We publish the per size figure.

How many lights should I buy for it?

A common trade rule of thumb is around 100 bulbs per foot of height for a well lit tree, so roughly 600 for a six foot tree, more if you want it dense. That is guidance rather than a manufacturer specification.

How does it go together?

Three sections stack onto the iron stand and the hinged branches expand as each one opens. There are no loose branches to hook on. Spreading the 1000 tips by hand is the part that takes the time.

Will the stand mark a wood floor?

The legs have plastic foot covers fitted for exactly that reason. On a soft floor a tree of 12 lb plus decorations can still leave impressions, so a mat is worth considering.
