The nightly cable problem
Cords everywhere
Phones, a watch and a reading light all want power at once. The result is a bedside covered in cables and a plug strip on the floor.
Power under the lid
The top panel flips up to a recessed charging station, so devices charge inside the table. A groove lets the cords out and the lid still closes.
This one earns its place by holding power as well as things. Two outlets, a USB port and a Type C port sit in a recess under the flip top, fed by a 5 foot cord. Below that come a drawer, a cabinet behind a soft close door and a magazine rack.
Lift the lid, plug in
The flip top opens on a cut-out handle, no knob needed. The outlets are rated 125V and 12A, and the USB and Type C ports put out 5V and 2.4A.
Three kinds of storage
The drawer runs on metal slides for small items. The cabinet measures 11.5 by 18 by 11.5 inches inside, and the magazine rack keeps reading off the bed.
