10 ft 360 Degree Tilt Aluminum Square Patio Offset Cantilever Umbrella without Weight Base-Beige

A thick aluminum pole standing beside the table, and a 10 foot square of beige yarn-dyed fabric hung out over it. The canopy turns a full circle on a foot pedal and drops through seven tilt positions, all worked from one crank handle. Underneath there is 7.5 feet of room at the edge. The cross base ships with it; the weights do not.

What a centre pole takes from the table

The mast sits where the food should go

A market umbrella runs its pole through the middle of the table. The centre is gone, one guest leans round it, and the shade can only be where the table is.

Move the pole off the table

Here the aluminum post stands on the paving and the arm carries the canopy over the top. The table stays clear, and the foot pedal swings the shade round when the sun moves.

Over a pool deck

Two loungers side by side, the post set back on the decking and the square canopy reaching out over both. No table is needed to hold it up, which is the point of this shape. The 7.5 feet of clearance at the canopy edge means you can sit up without meeting fabric.

Covering a six seat table

Swung round over a dining table, the square canopy covers the chairs at each end as well as the middle. A round canopy of the same width would leave those corners in the sun. Size guides pair a 10 foot canopy with a six to eight seat table.

One pedal, a full circle

The inset shows the pedal on the cross base. Press it, turn the pole with your hands and the whole canopy rotates to a new part of the patio. Loaded weights stay where they are, so one person can do it.

Seven steps down the post

The ghosted canopies show the arm working down the post through seven positions. The same crank handle opens the canopy and sets the tilt. Use the lower settings when the evening sun comes in under the edge.

What you get

Aluminum pole, steel ribs

A thick powder-coated aluminum pole carries eight steel ribs, so the frame resists rust and the canopy keeps its shape.

360 degrees on a pedal

Step on the pedal at the base and turn the pole. The canopy swings right round while the base stays put.

Seven tilt positions

The arm steps down the post through seven vertical positions, so the canopy can drop into low sun.

Crank lift

The same handle that sets the tilt winds the canopy open and shut, at chest height.

240 gsm yarn-dyed fabric

The colour is in the yarn rather than printed on, which is why the manufacturer calls it fade resistant.

Screwed-on canopy

The fabric is fixed to the frame with screws, so it cannot creep off the rib tips in a gust.

Vented top

A vent at the crown lets air escape upward instead of pushing on the whole canopy.

Cross base in the box

The cross base ships with it. The weights that sit on it are a separate purchase.

Who is this perfect for?

Rectangular dining sets

Square corners reach the end chairs that a round canopy of the same width leaves in the sun, and nothing rises through the middle of the table top.

Pool decks

It stands on its own cross base, so the shade can go over loungers where no table exists to hold a pole. Keep the post back from the water and on level ground.

West facing patios

Seven tilt steps plus a full circle of rotation are what you need when the worst sun of the day arrives at six, low and straight into your eyes.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the canopy cover, and how much headroom is there?

The canopy measures 10 feet by 10 feet, a hundred square feet with square corners, which suits a six to eight seat rectangular table. The canopy edge sits 7.5 feet off the ground and the top of the pole 9 feet, so most adults walk under the edge without ducking.

Does it come with a weighted base?

No. The cross base is included and the weights that sit on it are not. No base weight is published for this model, so we are not going to invent one. A cantilever hangs its whole canopy off one side of the post, so load it more heavily than you would a centre-pole umbrella of the same width and close it when the wind picks up.

What does yarn-dyed mean for the fabric?

The colour goes into the yarn before it is woven, rather than being printed on the surface. The manufacturer rates this 240 gsm fabric as fade resistant and weather resistant. No UPF figure is published, so none is claimed.

How should it be stored over winter?

Crank it closed, wrap the hook and loop strap round the canopy, let the fabric dry right through and store it dry. Canadian care guides agree the two things that finish an umbrella early are snow load on an open canopy and fabric folded away damp.
