Where 800 pounds comes from

How many people does it seat?

The manufacturer's own drawing says two to four. Two 48 in benches give 24 in of seat each for two adults a side, which matches everyday dining spacing. The description's claim of four to six is not supported by their own figure.

What is the bottom holder for?

It sits under the tabletop below the umbrella hole and grips the lower part of the pole, so the umbrella stands straight rather than leaning in the hole. A weighted base is still needed, and it is not included.

Do the cushions come off?

Yes. They are strapped to the benches so they stay put in use, and the covers unzip so they can be washed. No fabric weight or foam density is published, so wash cool and air dry.

How high is the seat?

The bench frame is 16 in and the cushion adds 2 in, so you sit at about 18 in. Under a 30 in tabletop that gives 12 in of lap room, at the roomy end of what furniture guides call comfortable for dining.
