Ribbed steel panels in dark green, 12 inches deep, sitting straight on the ground with nothing in the base to hold water.
Each wall is a pressed steel panel with horizontal ribs that stop a thin sheet from flexing. The coating is a dark green that holds its colour outdoors, the top lip is rolled, and eight screws pull the corners together.
Just over three feet by two and a half
The bed covers 39.5 inches by 31.5 inches and stands 12 inches tall. Small enough for a tight yard, deep enough for carrots and beets.
Open at the bottom
The base is open, so water that drains out of the soil keeps going. Roots reach the ground beneath and worms can work their way up.
Edges and corners
