The three pieces

What wood are the arm tops?

Do the pieces clip together?

No clips or straps are listed. Rattan sectionals are usually kept in line by butting the frames tight, and aftermarket connector clips exist if the ground is uneven.

Is 400 lb for the whole sofa?

No. The maker publishes it as a maximum load per seat.

Does the open weave let rain through?

It is a lattice rather than a solid basket, which the maker calls breathable. Cushions still need bringing in dry, because that is what stops mould in outdoor foam.
