On a standard L shaped sectional the inside corner seat is deeper than it is wide, awkward to sit on and usually ends up holding a cushion or a coat. It takes up 26 in of the best position on the patio and gives very little back.

Does the cabinet have to sit at the corner?

No. It is a separate 26 in cube, so it can sit at either end, between two sofas or off to one side as a side table. The corner position is simply what the maker photographs.

What will actually fit in it?

No volume is published, only the 26 in outside measurements. The maker shows seat cushions going in, and the lid clears fully on its hinge.

Are the seats fixed to each other?

The record does not list connector clips or straps, so treat the pieces as free standing. Butting them tight against a wall or each other is what keeps a rattan sectional in line.

Can the cushions stay out over a Canadian winter?

Better indoors. Dry them first and keep air around them off a concrete floor, because trapped damp rather than cold is what starts mould in outdoor foam.
